Oklahoma Indian tribes get millions in stimulus money.  They also get tax free casinos.  They also get free school supplies.  I don't want to be hateful so look at the blogs here in Oklahoma with the people who are starving and out of work and what they say about this latest Obamanation!

I talked with a friend and she was getting like a $1000 a month from her tribe but then they decided to switch it to every 2 months. I don't know the exact details because that was a couple of years ago. I think it was from the casinos but I can't really say.

As far as I'm concerned, we owe it to them. Everytime you lose another nickel in their casinos, they're getting even with us for stealing their country.

We didn't steal their country. They still have it. I live in it. They drive fine cars, have their tax free casinos, and their kids get land and free pencils. Grow up. They killed many of us, too. Read the Diary of Mary Rowlandson and see how well they treated innocent children. And if you feel you owe them, please donate now, but leave me alone.

I really hope the stimulus money helps the people.
Whatever the government is saying they are doing, people are hurting and do need help.

This money doesn't help people even the American Indians. It helps socialist organizations.

my father in law and his 5 brothers were all born on the kitchen table of their Mother's home on one of the reservations there in Oklahoma....
but not one of them stayed.....

their children all get royalties for the mineral rights to natural gas accessed by energy comapanies though......

They get a lot of goodies as we pay them back for the scalps they took.
most of the revenues go to the energy company, the transporttion company and the State of Oklahoma,,,,,

hundreds of millions of dollars of natural gas and my wife's cut is 1/4 of her Dad's 50%....she get's about $60 a year.....

It is about time the Indians get a little payback. The white man as well as all other races have taken from the American Indians I am glad they are getting back. Besides if you don't want them to get any more money just stay out of the casinos. The other thing is that there are still millions of illegals that are bleeding our government dry that this little bit of money going to the American Indians will not put a dent in that number.

If they are poor (and most native Americans are poor) then they'll spend the money on consumer goods and boost the economy and create lots of jobs.

The money doesn't go to families. It goes to organizations to help raise the level of services to keep them poor and us as well.

It would do a lot more good going to the families. Organizations can provide help but it's usually the wrong kind. :-(

That's the nature of our money. It happens no matter the source of the money. The larger the "pile of money" the bigger the "sharks" are that go after it. That's why our money is uncontrollable in government and major corporations. Those sharks have no restraint, no conscience, and no limits.

there is alway nebraska,, we all pay taxes here have no casino, and good land and cheap taxes,, I am proud of where I live and whom, no matter what color they are, live here with me.....
